First Aid                  
I trace much of the joy in my life directly back to Mr. Merle Heckendorn, an Assistant Scoutmaster in Denver Area Council's Troop 208 back in the '60s.  He trained us in first aid (for the First Aid Merit Badge and beyond) which later led me to join the volunteer fire service and attend EMT training.  Along that training path, I married one of my instructors, which led to my family, and my current involvement in ski patrolling and scouting. 

This page is dedicated to "just an assistant"--Mr. Heckendorn.
